Bridge Kids

Philosophy of Ministry

Children's Ministry at the Bridge Community Church exists to be a support to families in the raising and teaching of their children. Because parents are the primary teachers of their children, we want to support and reinforce the teaching that already exists in the life of children.

As a community, we are striving to become a worshipping community of authentic believers. We believe this is God's desire for kids as well. Therefore, children's ministry exists to support parents in raising their children to become worshippers of Jesus, integrated into community and students of the Bible.

Some key points:

- We believe that children are important in God's Kingdom, so we seek to provide excellence in teaching and curriculum.

- We believe that children should receive Biblical training from the earliest stages of life and development, so we partner with the nursery and youth group in aiding a foundation for faith as adults.

- We believe that the Christian walk is one of continual growth and maturity, and that children are able to experience spiritual growth, so we seek to provide an atmosphere where children can be challenged to grow in their faith and character.

- We believe that children are able, to varying degrees, take part in their own learning.  So, we seek to give children age appropriate skills in studying the Bible on their own.
